Looking Forward to the Year Ahead
It’s hard to believe that it’s already a brand-new year! 2017 seems like it flew by in a flash of diaper covers, deliveries, and play dates. Our kids are another year older, our business is another year stronger, and we’re another year wiser. There is plenty to look back and reflect upon from the past 365 days, and lots that we’re eagerly looking forward to in 2018, so we thought we’d take a moment to gather and share our thoughts on the year that was – and the year that will be – in this week’s blog!
Reflecting on a Year of Successes and Growth
2017 was a big year for us here at Pumpkin’s. We saw our business grow and develop in ways that we never could have predicted 12 months back, but ultimately, we couldn’t be happier – not only with where things are, and but with where they’re headed. We’ve made some incredible friends over the past year, expanded our business by leaps and bounds, and met some truly amazing clients and colleagues along the way.
Of course, it wasn’t all sunshine, roses, and freshly-cleaned diapers! As with any business, we ran into our fair share of trials and tribulations – but just like everything else in life, it seems like the most difficult undertakings are those that often end up being the most rewarding. For every tough break or challenging situation we ran up against, there was a fantastic story of success to balance it out. The past year hasn’t always been easy – but that, in our opinion, is where owning a family business as husband and wife really is a blessing. During those trying times, we’re able to rely on each other, and turn to the strength of our love to see us through. Not trying to get too sappy here, but it really is great having a dedicated spouse as a business partner! Running a small business was never going to be a simple thing to do, but with the support of our friends and family, 2017’s rollercoaster ride was one we’d happily jump on again!
Great Things on the Horizon
As much fun as we experienced throughout 2017, we’re looking to have even more this coming year! We’ve got lots of exciting ideas in the works to make 2018 bigger than ever here at Pumpkin’s, and while we can’t share all the juicy details in our blog today, trust us when we say there’s lots to look forward to! Between plans to continue growing and expanding our business, preparations to represent Pumpkin’s at plenty of upcoming shows and expos, and a continued commitment to providing the very best cloth diaper delivery service in Calgary, we’re eager to hit the ground running this year, and to bring cloth diapering to even more new parents throughout Calgary and the surrounding area!
One thing that won’t be changing, though, is our steadfast devotion to our customers, and to our business. We truly believe in the importance of the work we do here at Pumpkin’s, and look forward to another year of helping to make the lives of new parents all throughout the city just a little bit easier through the services we provide. As enthusiastic parents ourselves, we know how stressful it can be trying to raise a little one – never mind two, or three, or even more! That’s why we started our business in the first place: to help new and budding families spend less time worrying about the logistics of parenting, and more time bonding and being together.
All in all, we’re happy to be ringing in the New Year with open arms and ear-to-ear grins. 2018’s going to be a great year – we can’t wait to share it with all of our friends, colleagues, and clients! Happy New Year and all the best in 2018, to you and yours!
