All the Great Reasons Not to Miss the Calgary Baby and Tot Show

This weekend, we’re spending some time away from Pumpkin’s HQ (aka our house ?) to head down to the BMO Centre and host a booth at the biannual Calgary Baby and Tot Show. What’s that? You’ve never been to the Calgary Baby and Tot Show?? Well, you’ve come to precisely the right blog, then, because today, we’re going to spend some time going through all the reasons why you should make some time to come down and check things out.
Reason #1: More Baby Stuff Than You Can Shake a Rattle At
If you’ve been to the Baby and Tot Show before, you’ll know that each and every event is bigger and better than the one that came before. If you’ve never been – well, you’re in for a treat. For one weekend only every fall and spring here in Calgary, Hall D of the BMO Centre is packed from wall-to-wall with all the coolest toys, treats, accessories, and services for babies and parents alike. Whether you’re expecting, a parent to a brand-new little one, or trying to keep up with a toddling two-year-old, you’ll find plenty of booths and businesses ready to cater to your every baby-related need.
Reason #2: You Get to See Us!
One of the things we love most about the Baby and Tot Show is the opportunity it gives us to connect and catch up with our clients – past and present. Sure, we sometimes get the chance to connect with the parents and little ones in our service during our weekly deliveries, but those visits are often short by necessity, with us running out to the next pick-up and parents running back to tend to bath time, dinner time, diaper time, or all those other baby-related “times”! Here at the Baby and Tot Show, we actually get the opportunity to stop and chat for a moment, either about cloth diapering, parenting in general, or even things completely unrelated to the raising of children (heaven forbid)! Plus, there’s nothing quite so special as running into little ones who have outgrown our services and seeing how much they’ve grown in the time since we ran into them last. So, if you do anything at the Baby and Tot Show, be sure to stop by booth 523 to say hi!
Reason #3: Some Seriously Solid Entertainment
So far, the Baby and Tot Show sure sounds like a fun time for parents – but when all’s said and done, it’s not called the Mom and Dad Show, right? That’s why in addition to all the great booths and parent-centric sessions and seminars, there are also plenty of fun and exciting things going on to keep kids of all ages entertained throughout the course of the weekend. Bob the Builder makes several on-stage appearances, there are meet-and-greets with Rubble (of Paw Patrol fame!) throughout the show, and plenty of kid-friendly music, dance, and magic performances all Saturday and Sunday long. If you weren’t sure what to do to keep the little ones entertained this weekend, well, consider that problem solved!
Reason #4: A Space for Kids to be Kids, and Parents to be Parents
The last – and probably most compelling – reason to stop by the Baby and Tot Show this weekend is the space and the atmosphere of the show in general. As parents ourselves, we know how tough it can be to find spaces where crying babies and screaming toddlers feel truly welcome. Even at the mall or the most ubiquitous fast food restaurant, it often feels like you get the side-eye from other non-parenting adults when you wrestle a stroller through the door.
Here at the Baby and Tot Show, though, there are no exasperated looks and no concerns about babies being babies. Everybody here is a parent – and even if they’re not, they’re incredibly kid-friendly. Here, you can feel free to let your little one squeal and shout to their heart’s content, surrounded by parents with babies and toddlers doing the same. Not only that, but everybody at the show is in the exact boat and is always happy to chat about kids and parenting, eager to share any little tips and tricks they’ve picked up along the journey. There’s nowhere quite like the Baby and Tot Show for new parents – it really is a fantastically singular event that all moms and dads should experience at least once in their early parenting careers!
* * *
Here at Pumpkin’s Diaper Delivery, we look forward to the Calgary Baby and Tot Showevery spring and fall. It’s one of the highlights of our year – both as business owners, and as parents. We truly hope you’re able to make the time to come down to the BMO Centre and check it out sometime this weekend. We’ll be at Booth 523 and will be happy to chat about all things baby- and cloth diaper-related all Saturday and Sunday long. See you at the show!
